Self Defense is one of the world’s oldest methods of fitness of both the body and mind. Here at Brickhouse Gym, we offer Isshinryu Karate Kai, which teaches students a popular form of martial arts that stresses mental clarity as much as physical strength.
Texas Isshinryu Karate Kai
Isshinryu Karate is an authentic martial art stemming from Okinawa, the birthplace of Karate. Seasoned instructor Kyoshi Robert Kristensen, a 7th Degree Black Belt with 30 years experience, strives to uphold this tradition through hard work and discipline.
Not only is Isshinryu Karate an excellent workout for all ages, but it offers the best of traditional karate for modern day life. A student will develop many skills, including:
- Better focus, discipline, confidence, coordination, and balance
- Self control, perseverance, and leadership skills
- Practical self defense for modern day situations
- Improved total body fitness – strength, cardio, flexibility
